One of the things that brings us the most satisfaction at Emery Little isn’t about portfolios or pension transfers – it’s those moments when we can connect you with exactly the right person for the job.
Whether it’s a brilliant solicitor who actually explains things in plain English, a decorator who turns up when they say they will, or an accountant who doesn’t make you feel like you’re bothering them with questions – these introductions often matter more than any investment recommendation we make.
Why? Because your life extends far beyond your financial plan. The mortgage broker who finds you a better rate, the architect who designs your perfect space, or the tax specialist who saves you thousands – they all contribute to your overall wellbeing and peace of mind.
We’ve built relationships with professionals we genuinely trust over the years. People who share our values of clarity, reliability and putting the client first. When we make an introduction, it’s not because we get a kickback (we don’t). It’s because we know they’ll look after you the way we would.
This week, we’d like to introduce you to three people and places who might be exactly what you need:
The Lifestyle Advisory
Luxury travel with a personal touch
Remember those holidays where everything just worked perfectly? Where you got the best table at dinner, the room with the view, and somehow paid less than you expected? That’s what happens when you know the right people.
An old friend who I have played football with and against for years, Ned, has channelled his incredible network (which now includes football agency work and hospitality connections) into The Lifestyle Advisory with his partner Emma. They create bespoke travel itineraries with access to the world’s leading five-star hotels, offering preferential rates, room upgrades, early check-in and late check-out, plus VIP treatment from the moment you arrive.
Their deep relationships with luxury properties mean you get exclusive benefits you simply can’t access online. It’s commission-based with no upfront cost, so worth getting a quote even if you’re just exploring options.

Michael Phillips at Wave 8
Executive leadership coaching
Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t financial – it’s navigating life transitions. Meet Michael Phillips, one of our clients and a former BP employee who’s made a fascinating career pivot into executive leadership coaching with Wave 8.
Michael specialises in helping people transition from corporate careers to what he calls “third life” – that next chapter beyond the traditional career ladder. Having recently completed his MSc research on exactly this topic (with several Emery Little clients contributing), he brings real insight to the challenges of career change, retirement planning, and finding purpose beyond the corporate world.
He’s currently working with clients from major firms like Eon, BA, Beazley, and HSBC. If you’re wrestling with what comes next professionally, or feeling stuck in a career transition, Michael could be exactly the conversation you need.

The Old Post Office Bakery
Camden’s hidden gem
Now for something completely different. Since we moved to Camden in 2024, we’ve discovered what might be London’s best-kept secret: The Old Post Office Bakery near Camden Road station.
They’ve been baking since 1981, creating organic artisan bread and pastries that put most trendy spots to shame. The coffee is superb, the sweet treats are dangerous, and the fresh sandwiches hit the spot perfectly. Plus, it’s an excellent people-watching spot if you fancy a proper break from the office.
It’s become our local headquarters – the kind of place where good coffee meets genuine craft. If you’re ever in the area, it’s well worth the detour.
If any of these sounds like they could help, just drop us a line. We’re always happy to make the introduction.
After all, life’s too short to work with people who don’t get it.
If you know of a professional who’s made your life genuinely easier, we’d love to hear about them. Building our network of trusted contacts is an ongoing project, and your recommendations help us help others in our community.
