I believe that financial planning can do more than just help people get the most out of their money. When you boil it all down, financial planning is really about helping people to get the most life out of their lives. Helping people feel like they’re making the most of their time on this planet is a serious but incredibly fulfilling responsibility.
I play an active role in the NextGen Planners community – a professional body for up-and-coming financial planners. I also really enjoy the teachings of the Kinder Institute of Life Planning.
I grab every opportunity to be outside, often joined by my wife and son. Among other things, we really enjoy hiking and biking in the hills surrounding our home in the Scottish Borders.
I’m a bit of a geek with a real interest in technology, systems and processes, so I often get involved in projects to improve our services.
